Show Google Apps When Opening a New Tab in Chrome

When you open a new tab in Google Chrome, you have two options:

- Show Most Visited websites. OR;
- Show Apps List – a list of apps you’ve downloaded and installed from Chrome Store.

By default, most visited websites tab will show up every time you open a new tab on Chrome. You might not want it that way. So, how are you going to make the apps tab appear instead?

Show Google Apps When Opening a New Tab in Chrome

Step 1: Launch Google Chrome.

Step 2: Open a new tab.

Step 3: Click Apps at the middle-lower part of Most Visited and Apps tab options on Google Chrome when opening a new tabthe window. You’ll see two options there: Most Visited and Apps.

OR, click the arrow at the right side so it will take you to Google Apps tab.

Step 4: Voila! Chrome will now show Google Apps page every time you open a new tab.

Note: This doesn’t apply on Incognito window.

There are instances as well that most visited sites tab are changed when you install third-party software like Anti-virus. It automatically installs add-ons on internet browsers sometimes. To prevent this, you can follow the same procedure above to make sure that only apps tab will show up when opening a new tab in Chrome. OR, check the recent program you’ve installed on your PC and check if there’s a setting to disable its’ add-ons.
