Do you have an HP 2060 printer? Did you upgrade to Windows 8 recently? If yes, here’s a guide that you can follow to properly install it to your computer.
HP 2060 K110 Printer Installation Guide
The guide below is applicable to Windows 8 Pro and Enterprise.
Step 1: Download HP 2060 Printer Driver here.
Step 2: Select your operating system in the drop down list. Select either Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit) or Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit).
If you don’t know the version of Windows installed on your PC, go to Control Panel (Windows Key + X) → System and Security → System
Step 3: Click Next.
Step 4: Click Download under Driver – Product Installation Software.
Step 5: Locate DJ2060_K110_1313.exe then run it as administrator (Right Click → Run as administrator)
Click ‘Yes’ if you get User Account Control warning message.
Click ‘Run Anyway’ if you get Windows Smart Screen error.
Step 6: Select the Recommended Software you want to download and install.
Step 7: Agree to the terms and conditions. Click Next.
Step 8: Connect the printer to your computer via USB cable. Do this when you get an instruction to do so.
System will detect your printer automatically. You will see a Green icon if the connection is OK. You will get a confirmation as well.
Note: Turn on the printer after connecting it to computer.
Step 9: Click Next. Select your preferred way to receive ink alerts.
Click Next again.
Step 10: Confirm your location and preferred language.
Step 11: Success! You printer was installed successfully.
You may now scan and print documents.
No need to register the product if you already did it before. Just close out the Product Registration window.
During installation, system created HP Printer Assistant shortcut icon in desktop. Click it to customize and maintain the printer.
