❗️This is a solo traveler itinerary.
Day 1 (Tuesday)
11:06am – 2-hour CebPac flight from NAIA. The promo fare is PHP1,165.28.
The original itinerary includes a layover in Cebu, but CebPac let me transfer to a direct flight for free. Just called them up a few days prior to departure.
1:27pm – It took 20 minutes before our van left the airport.
To go to General Luna (where most tourists stay) or your accommodation, just locate the van terminal from the exit and approach a local for help.
❗️If you are not renting a van, the stopovers will prolong your trip.
2:45pm – Checked into Tres Islas Hostel. I reserved a private AC room for PHP1,050 per night.
3:00pm – Customized land tour by habal-habal (PHP1500.00). I made an arrangement with Tres Islas upon arrival. Just making the most of the time before the sun sets.
First destination, the coconuts 🌴🥥.
This location is far from General Luna (40 minutes I think). If you want to get there fast, your best bet is habal-habal or renting a bike.
Second destination (the farthest), Magpupungko. The entrance fee is PHP50.00.
Note that the location closes at 5pm. It’s best to visit and swim there at low tide.
Third stop, Mangroves.
Lastly, I took a solo boat ride (₱500.00) along the amazing Maasin River. I spent almost an hour there.
Visit Maasin if you want to try the famous “bent tree”.
7:00pm – Dinner at Sugba. I forgot to take a picture, but I recommend adobong saang. 🤩
9:00pm – Lights off!
Day 2 (Wednesday)
8:00am – Private Tri-Island Hopping with a new friend (PHP750.00 each)
Again, I didn’t make an advance booking. I made an arrangement with the hostel on the first night.
A van driver picked us up to the port. We paid the environmetal fee at the tourism office prior to departure at 9am.
These are the islands in particular order:
Guyam (Spent 2 and a half hours)
There’s an entrance fee (below PHP100.00).
Daku Island (Spent 3 hours)
It’s nice to swim here. You’ll definitely love the water.
People usually eat lunch in Daku. The food is expensive though (dampa).
This is the last destination. Imagine going here at noon. That’s why! 😂
Note: There’s no entrance fee currently.
We got back at the port past 5pm. The same driver took us back to Tres Islas.
8:00pm – Dinner with new friends.
Tip: If you’ll stay somewhere out of centre, you can make an arrangement with your accommodation for pickup. Say, habal-habal.
9:00pm – Nightlife at Coco Mama and Rum Bar. There’s an entrance fee of PHP60.00 at the latter.
3:30am – Lights off.
Day 3 (Thursday)
11:00am – Due to tight schedule, I spent my remaining time at Cloud 9. You can take surfing lessons there.
If my memory serves me right, there’s an entrance fee of PHP50.00.
1:00pm – Checked out of Tres Islas. A van driver picked me up to Sayak Airport. The hostel arranged it for me.
The fare is the same. PHP300.00.
