Fix: Explorer.exe No Such Interface Supported Error

Can’t open files and folders in Windows 7? Are you getting “Explorer.exe No such interface supported” error ?

If yes, follow the steps below to fix the issue.

Fix: “Explorer.exe No such interface supported”

Step 1. Go to Start → All Programs → Accessories → Command Prompt

Right click Command Prompt. Select ‘Run as administrator’

Step 2. In Command Prompt , enter the command-line below then press enter.

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll

Command Prompt - Explorer.exe No such interface supported

Type-in this command line – regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll then press Enter

You can copy the code then paste in Command Prompt.

Don’t use CTRL + P shortcut keys. It won’t work.

Instead, right-click anywhere in Command Prompt then select ‘Paste’.

Wait for the confirmation then reboot your computer.

    Mine did not work…
    Can you help? My OS is Win 7 Home Premium 64bit
    I removed my kaspersky antivirus 2010(stupid of me) then installed avast 7(planning to upgrade to 8) later
    I installed Internet Download Manager (tried to patch it, but sth wrong with patch) I was also reinstalling Firfox but to no avail untill i completely removed firefox 19(Now 20)
    later this error appeared Explorer.exe No such interface supported.
    I figured out that i could no longer view my computer properties, change lots of controll panel settings or click on personalize from right click.
