How to Convert Prepaid Load to Gcash

In this guide, you will learn how to convert your Globe prepaid load to GCash that you can use to shop online via AMEX Virtual Pay, pay bills, et cetera.

There are six options: 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 300 pesos. Take note, a 15% service charge will be added on top of the selected amount. You can only convert one at a time.

Denominations and the total deduction including the service fee:

  • ₱10 = ₱11.50
  • ₱25 = ₱28.75
  • ₱50 = ₱57.50
  • ₱100 = ₱115.00
  • ₱200 = ₱230
  • ₱300 = ₱345

6. Press Next.

7. On the next page, you will see the total amount that will be deducted from your airtime credits including the service fee. Tap Confirm to finalize the transaction.

You will receive a text confirmation from 2882 after a few seconds or a minute summarizing the transaction. Press Done on the GCash app to go back to the dashboard.

Crediting of the converted prepaid load is real-time. When you return to the home page, the credit will be added to your previous balance and you can use it immediately to fund an online transaction, or send money to a friend or anyone.

Hallow. I actually tried it before and it worked. But last time, months ago, I was able to convert the load in to a cash balance, but it looks like the service is no longer available. What happened?
