Asus ZenFone 3 Max: Can’t Detect USB

There may be a lot of reasons why an Asus ZenFone 3 Max can’t detect a USB or flash driver connected via an OTG [On-The-Go] cable, but one of them has something to do with the battery.

Upon checking, the device doesn’t detect a USB if the battery is below 20%.

The device should be charged first in order for it to detect and read a USB’s contents which can be found in File Manager.
